Club of Five Cookbook

Jannine & Erica

The motivation for the cookbook section of this site are my daughters, Erica and Jannine. I've always had a passion for cooking and my girls are my greatest critics. They've also become great cooks in there own right, helping and learning, through all our growing up years, during all our cooking "adventures". In a small way to give back to my wonderful family; I've started capturing our favorite family dishes, and a few we still have to create.

Thanks to Web 2.0 software, specifically WordPress, personal publishing is easier than ever. Now, regardless where their lives take them (assuming they've got an Internet connection), my girls have quick access to all of "Dad's", and our families, favorite recipes.

What's really cool, in support of "One Laptop per Child" (OLPC), I recently bought one of their computers for our family. Because OLPC PCs are designed to take a "beating", liquid and grit resistant; its become the perfect "Kitchen" PC. Connected to our home wireless network, whenever we want to whip something together; our "virtual cookbook" with swivel screen, is right where we need it to make the grocery list, prep and cook all that needs doing for our next great meal. Just think of all the trees we'll be saving and all for a good cause!

As time permits, I'll add some cooking techniques, most of which learned while sitting in on classes at the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute of America) during my freshman year at Vassar - but that's another story.

Down the road, I'm confident the other 4 members of "The Club of Five" (see "About Us") will contribute recipes and other "pearls of wisdom" tips (e.g. work, dating, family, friends, entertainment, travel & leisure, fashion, etc). Until then, it's "Dad's" Cookbook for his daughters and dedicated to Erica & Jannine.

Needless to say, this site is a "Work in Progress". Perhaps one day I'll turn this section into a cookbook you can order through Lulu! Until then, enjoy.

Note: The "C05 Cookbook" tab is just a holding page, at the moment. To find and try recipes, click on "Ingredients & Cuisine" or "CO5 Cookbook TOC" links. Register on the site to leave comments or just ask for something you'd like to know more about.

Bon Appetite!
