A Little Personal History:
I wanted an Asian marinade that works well with less expensive cuts of meats, poultry and simple to prepare. Here’s what I came up with and it’s become a favorite marinade, whether for beef or poultry.

Ingredients:
- 2 Tbs. cubed fresh ginger
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tsp. ground pepper
Procedure:
- On cutting board, cut fresh ginger into small cubes. Using garlic press, press and scrape ginger into 2 cup mixing bowl.
- Combine the remaining marinade ingredients in mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly.
- Transfer to salad dressing bottle or other container, seal and refrigerate till ready to use.
Advanced Preparation:
- By all means prepare in advance and refrigerate till needed.
